The Khampa areas refer to the eastern part of Tibet Autonomous Region, western Sichuan Province and Deqen Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan Province.

The Khampa Tibetan women of the Meyul Grasslands are hard-working and capable as well as tolerant and kind-hearted, but they are also the most long-suffering of women.

They have graceful yet sturdy figures; they have rosy cheeks and spotless white teeth. The red coral on their long braids is always the first thing to catch people's eyes. The silver jewelry blowing in the wind accompanied by the hearty laughter can attract people from afar.
