Photo taken on Feb.1, 2015 shows the Dukezong Ancient Town in Shangri-La, a resort county in southwest China's Yunnan Province. Dukezong, meaning "town of the moon", was built 1,300 years ago. Being one of the most renowned resorts in Shangri-La, it is known for its well-preserved ancient Tibetan dwellings. However, in January of 2014, a fire broke out and damaged nearly 300 houses, two thirds of the Dukezong town. On April 8, 2014, the opening ceremony marking the restoration of the ancient town kicked off with a total fund of 59 mln yuan(9.45 mln U.S. dollars). The project focus on the construction of infrastructure, renovation of people’s residence, restoration of Shangri-La featuring ethnic Tibetan culture, which is expected to be finished in three years.[Photo/ xgll.com.cn]
