According to the Tibet Autonomous Region Government, "2014 Changtang Gesar Horse-racing Cultural & Commercial Tourist Festival" will start on August 10th and lasts till August 14th in Nagqu, Chinatibetnews.com reported.

Activities concerning the festival include competitive sports, performances, art crafts and investment  expos, etc.

Given Nagqu's larger number of Gesar artists compared with other parts of Tibet, Gesar performance will be another eye-catcher from this year's festival.

Since 1993 Nagqu horse-racing festival usually falls in August and lasts for 5 to 7 days.
