Over 60 performers from the Chamdo Prefecture Song and Dance Troupe, Chamdo Three River Tea Horse Art Troupe and Chamdo Mass Art Gallery, brought their splendid performance to the children in the First Middle School and the First Primary School in Chamdo Prefecture of Tibet Autonomous Region on May 20, 2014. Dances including Gorchom circle dance, Shinze dance and Repa dance were warmly welcomed.
Known as the "Three Dances" listed in the catalogue of intangible cultural heritage, Gorchom circle dance from Chamdo, Repa dance from Denqen and Shinze dance from Mangkam are the famous folk dances in Tibet.
According to Zheng Xinglou, deputy director of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Chamdo Prefecture, more than 50 performances will be sent to the monasteries, villages and enterprises in the future, bringing the local people a cultural feast.
