Thirty-seven years old Dorje Tseten is an inheritor of a well-known Tibetan incense brand named "holy jewelry". He innovated incense making by adding new ingredient and introducing machinery to replace manual labor for higher productive efficiency, which inadvertently absorbed rural labor surplus and set his villagers onto the road towards intangible cultural heritage protection and rejuvenation.
About 10 years ago, Dorje Tseten went to Tibetan Medicine of Tibet to learn how to make better Tibetan incense after inheriting the techniques from his brother.
After years of exploring and reforming the craftsmanship, he made "holy jewelry" incense more and more appealing to consumers. Owner of his incense making factory and a store to sell his products, Dorje Tseten lives a happy life as an accomplished businessman.
