Religious circle blames terrorism in Kunming
Representatives from the religious circles of the ongoing 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference denounced the terrorism in Kunming of Yunnan Province for it not only harmed the lives of innocent people but undermined the social stability and unity.
Losang Shandan, also a standing director of the Tibet Branch of the Buddhism Association of China, called on people of different nationalities to hold together to fight against the violent activities and terrorists.
Songlang Dorje, director of the Tibet Committee of Economic and Population Resources of CPPCC, pointed out that the a handful of terrorists attempted to sabotage the national unity and the stable society order by plotting violent activities, but they would never succeed.
"National unity is the basic guarantee for people to live and work in peace. It requires people from different ethnic groups to make a joint effort because it is never a single of one nationality," said Bekri Mamut, chairman of the Islamic Association of Turpan, Xinjiang.
Huang Xinyang, vice chairman of China Association of Taoism, said:"The terrorists must be severely punished for destroying social order and grievous injury they made to the innocent people."
