Tibetan villagers look forward to happy life
Located in the northwest part of Tingri County in Shigatze Prefecture, Dejiu Village is at an altitude of 4,972 meters with 118 villagers. Due to its natural environment and terrain, the local people made a living by raising livestock for many generations.
However, the past years have witnessed heartening changes in Dejiu village with the local government's help.
Their houses have been renovated and also been equipped with TVs and other household appliances. The construction of highways, bridges, clinics in the village brought great convenience for the local people.
Living in the relatively remote area, villagers in Dejiu Village are striving for prosperous lives together with the whole nation.
