As a pilot project of providing electric heating system to monasteries in the old town of Lhasa in 2013, the Ramoche Temple has received all the allocated electrical heating radiators.

Some monks have already started to use these heating appliances since Tibet already witnessed the first snow this year.

The heating equipment will be delivered to the rest of the monasteries in the old town of Lhasa successively.

The Ramoche Temple was built in the Tang Dynasty (618-907) under the order of Princess Wencheng. With a history of more than 1,300 years, the Ramoche Temple has been the cultivation site of the Upper Tantric College (Gyu-tod Dratsang) for the Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism.
