Lulang of Nyingchi known as "most beautiful village in China"

Lulang in Nyingchi Prefecture, southwest Tibet was dubbed as one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in China" by an official vote conducted by over 50 national and regional radio stations around China, reported by Chinatibetnews.com on Nov. 3.

Located 80 kilometers away from Bayi County, Nyingchi Prefecture along the Sichuan-Tibethighway, Lulang is famous for its charming scenery and thick forest. Mountain, forest and farmland dotted with yaks make Lulang a paradise on the Qinghai-Tibetplateau, where its picturesque landscape attracts tourists at home and abroad.

Lulang means "dragon king valley" in Tibetan. It is famous for its "Forest Sea", one of the most attractive natural scenic spots in Nyingchi Prefecture, Tibet.

Lulang Forest Sea is 3700 meters above the sea level and is 80 kilometers away from Bayi Town. It is a typical long and narrow plateau meadow area. It is about 15 kilometers long and has an average width of 1 kilometer. Lulang Forest Sea is mainly composed of bosk, spruces and pines. There are amazing natural landscapes at Lulang Forest Sea even in autumn and winter.
