4th national advanced Tibetan medicine training class held in Beijing
The fourth national advanced Tibetan medicine training class was launched in Beijing on Nov. 1, 2013, which gathered nearly 100 trainees from the Tibetan-inhabited areas in China.
It is reported that this year's theme is "Tibetan medicine and Jingjing Pharmacopoeia" as in a lecture given by Gawu, professor of Traditional Tibetan Medicine of Tibet University. The lecture will be live broadcasted through a long-distance platform established by the national consultation center so that the Tibetan medicinal staff from the remote areas can also attend it at the same time.
Jingjing Pharmacopoeia written by Gawu is a Tibetan medicine pharmacopoeia based on the Shel Gong Shel Phreng, one of the most important traditional herbology books of Tibetan medicine published in 1995, which includes the introduction of over 1,350 kinds of medicinal materials with 900 colorful images.

As an annual training project of Tibetan medicine, the training class has been held for four years, and is usually held in November. This year's training class lasted for ten days.
