First seminar on Tibetan film dubbing held in Lhasa
The first seminar on Tibetan film dubbing was held in Lhasa, the capital city of Tibet Autonomous Region, Oct. 21, 2013, reported by Chinatibetnews.com.
The seminar invited influential experts and scholars to exchange with each other and make in-depth exploration of the theoretical and practical research on Tibetan film dubbing.
During the seminar, experts and scholars watched a renowned Chinese film titled "Confucius" recently dubbed by the Tibet Film Company and discussed with the director and dubbers on the film dubbing work in Tibet.
The seminar helped broaden the artistic view of the film dubbers and inspire their creative thoughts, which would further enhance the artistic level of Tibetan film dubbing, said Losum Chophel, general manager of the Tibet Film Company.
The central government has attached great importance to the development of film dubbing in Tibet and support it with favorable policies, large amount of capital as well as talent introduction.
By carrying out the nation's project of film screening in rural areas, Tibet has contributed its own part, through which the herdsmen and farmers in Tibet can enjoy good domestic and foreign films.
By far, Tibet has cultivated an outstanding professional film dubbing group and worked out a set of mature working procedure for film dubbing ranging from text translation to dubbing.
Over the past few years, Tibet has dubbed over 80 films annually covering 60 feature films and 20 popular science films, which have basically satisfied the increasing need of cultural life for the local herdsmen and farmers.
