In Tibet, most potteries are made by farmers during slack farming season. They are folk artists who use clay and several simple tools to shape different potteries based on the design drawing in mind.

A villager named Rinchen has inherited the craft of making pottery from ancestors, and started to make pottery when he was twenty years old.

Fifty years passed by, Rinchen is so skilled in making pottery that he can make a piece of artwork in a very short time as long as he has a brush, a bamboo chip, a metal plate, some clay and water in hand.
