Tibet's first summer youth camp to be launched
Tibet’s first summer youth camp is expected to launch in Tibet Comprehensive Mountaineering Training Center, July 20, 2013, reported by Chinatibetnews.com.
In the Yangpachen Altitude Training Base at an elevation of 4,318 meters, a total of 60 students participating in the summer youth camp will get various special trainings for 10 days, ranging from camping, rock climbing, mountain cycling, swimming, extended projects, to outdoor knowledge learning, according to the Mountaineering Team of Tibet Autonomous Region, the organizer of the camp.
"The whole camp program will be carried out in enclosed environment. Wearing the employee’s cards, all the staff in or out the base must pass the security check with strict procedures. At the same time, the camp is off-limits to strangers," said the responsible person.
It is said that the Yangpachen Altitude Training Base divides the case into 3 parts in terms of activity, camping and service for better management.
