LHASA,June 29(China Tibet Online) The Tibet Medicine Distribution Association was founded in Lhasa, capital of southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region on June 29, 2013, marking a beginning of the development of the Tibetan pharmaceutical industry.

"The founding of the Tibet Medicine Distribution Association is a great thing not only for promoting the sound development of all medicine distribution industries in Tibet, but also for benefiting Tibetan people’s livelihood and local economic progress，"said Ngabo Jigyon, vice chairman of Tibet Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.

"Observing ‘keeping a foothold in the pharmaceutical industry, insisting on market orientation, enhancing the core cohesion and serving the enterprises, the Tibet Medicine Distribution Association aims to promote the market system establishment of the Tibetan medicine distribution and ensure the Tibetan people can take safe and convenient medicines when they fall ill," he added.

The Tibet Medicine Distribution Association, composed of the enterprises and self-employed entrepreneurs on sanitation, wholesale, retail, healthcare and device distribution, is a local unprofitable trade association, devoting itself to effectively promoting the development of the medicine distribution industry in Tibet.
