Tibet museum to hold folk culture exhibition
A Tibetan folk customs and culture exhibition will be opened at the Tibet museum to unveil over 200 pieces (sets) of cultural relics on June 8, 2013,according to Tibet business newspaper.
There is no limit to the date of the exhibition, and residents and tourists in Lhasa can visit for free during the opening time of the Tibet museum, which is closed every Monday.
According to the official in charge of Tibet museum, the cultural relics of the exhibition are all-inclusive, including the ancient Tibetan village architecture, representative national costume Tibetan utensils, farming and animal husbandry culture and traditional handicrafts.
From preliminary copywriting, selecting cultural relics, to designing construction and decorating exhibition, it has taken nearly a year to finish the preparations by the coming opening ceremony.
Tibet museum has adopted advanced technology home and abroad to support and decorate the exhibits to make them gleaming and highlight their cultural character. By vividly reproducing the scenes in museum,visitors will feel immersive at the scenes.
The exhibition is bound to further promote the excavation and protection of Tibetan folk culture, making citizens and tourists enjoy a visual feast and have a deeper understanding of the Tibetan folk culture.
