Tibetan Plateau to see rainstorms
BEIJING, Sept. 18 -- Rainstorms are expected to sweep parts of southwest China and cold weather is likely to hit the country's north and northeast over the next three days, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) said Tuesday.
Most parts of the Tibetan Plateau, southwest China and the northern part of south China will see rainstorms. Parts of Tibet, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Yunnan and Guizhou provinces will see downpours, said the NMC.
A cold front will bring cold weather to most of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, northeast China and the northern part of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures in most areas will drop by four to six degrees Celsius, though some areas will see temperatures drop by eight degrees in the coming three days, it said.
