Jimoji is a 13 years old girl who studies at No. 4 Primary School of Hezuo City, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province. Besides study, she also needs to take care of a little girl at grade one. In this school, taking care of a junior student has become the duty of a senior student.
The school is a boarding school that uses the Tibetan language as the main teaching language. There are 25 classes from grade one to grade six. There are 1,412 children in the school, 836 of which board at the school. All the students are Tibetan children and most of them come from pastoral areas.
As the new pupils have fear for the unfamiliar circumstance and are not able to take care of themselves, the school arranges senior students to live with the new pupils in the dormitories and seniors will care for them. All the students here have their respectable and reliable seniors, Zhang Zhirong, the Headmaster of the school said.
