State-owned enterprises aid Tibet in employment
Chinese State-owned enterprises (SOE) held a special job fair in Beijing last Wednesday to provide more than 3,600 jobs to college and university graduates from western regions where ethnic minority groups are most concentrated.
Jointly organized by China's State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and State Ethnic Affairs Commission, 46 SOEs in the job fair provide jobs for current college and university graduates and previous graduates who have been unemployed in the past two years in Tibet Autonomous Region, Xinjiang Uygur and Qinghai Province, according to an official of the Human Resources and Society Security Ministry.
Among jobs offered, some were locally based in the western regions, while others were based in Beijing and Shanghai and even overseas.
46 SOEs would provide various jobs in fields of engineering construction, resource development, machinery and services industry. Sophisticated and advanced positions in aerospace industry would be offered as well.
