Film director Xiefei brings his Tibetan film "Song of Tibet", which has joined the China’s Ethnic Minority Languages Film Festival, to the Peking University, one of the top universities in China on April 22.

As part of the ongoing Beijing International Film Festival, "China's Ethnic Minority Languages Film Festival" is an event that screens films produced by China's ethnic minority groups. This is the first time that a film festival has dedicated an independent event to ethnic films in the country.

The film "Song of Tibet"  is made in 2000. It depicts a love story between a woman and three men. All the actors and actress are native Tibetans, and their dialogues are conducted in Tibetan language.

Meanwhile, the film unveils Tibet’s fascinating natural and cultural heritage.

One of songs in the film named "On the East Mountaintop" is recomposed from a love poem of Tsangyang Gyasto, the 6th Dalai Lama.

The Beijing International Film Festival 2012 lasts from April 23 to 28.
