A collective Tibetan wedding ceremony was held for nine couples from other parts of China at a village in southeast Tibet’s Gongbo area.
Ngawang Dorje, a local resident of the Gala Village, performed Da She Dance, a celebration dance in occasions like wedding ceremonies and housewarmings.
This year marks the 30th wedding anniversary, so he is not only the chief witness of the wedding ceremony for the nine couples but also the host of his own wedding anniversary.

He thought it really commemorative.
According to the tradition in the Gongbo area, if the bride and groom receive blessings from their uncles, their marriages will last long and forever.
Ngawang Dorje played the uncle’s role and presented the hada scarf to the couples, hoping their love pure and happy.
Activities such as putting the colorful arrows in the back of the brides, wearing the holy ornaments, burning the pine and cypress, putting up the sutra streamers were held after the Da She Dance.

"We are thrilled to wear the Tibetan wedding custom. This is surely to be an unforgettable memory in our life," said the couple.
Ngawang Dorje feels happy to see the group wedding ceremony held in his hometown, and he wishes the best for the new couples.
