As people around China were celebrating the National Day holiday, 40 young people from Sichuan Tibetan area, Qinghai Tibetan area and Tibet autonomous region stayed on the stage in Sichuan. They formed an art group and performed unique Tibetan style singing while playing the guitar and sleeves dance. Their performance has attracted people who are deeply in love with Tibetan dancing and singing.

The Tanggula style art troupe was founded in 1999. At the every beginning, group members had actively innovated the traditional Tibetan dancing and singing. They adapted numerous Tibetan folk songs which are well received by people in and outside Tibet.

In 2002, they issued an album "Tanggula Storm", which still is the most popular Tibetan folk CD. At the same time, they are active to participate in the benefit performance for relieving the people in stricken areas.
