Bome County is the famous hometown of Rhizoma Gastrodiae in Tibet.

In recent years, Bome County is making great efforts to develop the special industry of Rhizoma Gastrodiae, and to increase the income of local farmers and herdsmen.

Up to now, 6 townships, 22 specialized villages, and more than 3,500 farmers and herdsmen are engaged in planting the Rhizoma Gastrodiae with the planting area hitting 63,000 square meters, and the annual per capita income reaching 2,115 yuan.
