Every March, tourists from home and abroad rush to Bome County as peach blossoms are all in full bloom, making the county a world of peach blossoms. 

Bome County of Nyingchi, known as "world of peach blossoms", features abundant primeval forest, snow-capped mountain ranges, great rivers and holy lakes and splendid glaciers.

With a typical subtropical monsoon climate and an elevation of 2,720 meters, Bome lies at the junction of east China's Himalayas Mountains and Mt. Nyainqentanglha, and in the core area of the famous "Great Shangri-La" Tourist Attraction and Tea-Horse Ancient Road. 

Having a total population of 32,000, Bome County is around 200 kilometers away from the Nyingchi Airport and also serves as the major gateway for tourists to enter Tibet through the Sichuan-Tibet and Yunnan-Tibet highways.
