Tibet's capital of Lhasa has allotted one million yuan (146,500 U.S. dollars) to repair 149 public toilets, in a move to upgrade tourist infrastructure. These 24-hour toilets have been open for free to the public since January 1. Photo shows a view of a public toilet by the western bridgehead of Sun Island, downtown Lhasa.
