Peter, son of the New Zealand's Sir Edmund Hillary as well as the noted mountaineer, on April 29 donated a rock piton which his father has used for climbing the Mt. Qomolangma 56 years ago, and a book on his father's mountaineering story, to the Mt. Qomolangma Museum.

Edmund Hillary is a New Zealand mountaineer and explorer. On May 29, 1953, he and Nepalese mountaineer Tenzing Norgay became the first climbers known to reach the summit of Mount Everest.
