Meri Snow Mountain sees Tibetan people happy life

The Hopo village of Yunnan Deqen Autonomous Prefecture is located 3,000 meters high above sea level at the root of the Meri Snow Mountain. It has a population of one thousand only and 95% of which are Tibetan. It used to be isolated here and the local were lack of food and cloths. Over the past few years, Hopo village are actively making efforts on agricultural industral construction adjustment, transportation and helping rural peole increase income. It now has been provided with power, telecommunications, broadcasting and new type energy source such as solar energy. 98% or so of people in the village are now benefited with new type of rural cooperative medical service and all the children from rural families enter schools at their right ages.
