Since winter, the Yangbajain Geothermal Energy Power Plant, the biggest geothermal energy power plant in China at an elevation of 4,300 meters in Tibet Autonomous Region, has increased its electricity generation to relieve the contradiction of demand and supply for power due to lack of water for electricity-generating in winter and spring.
