17 overseas Tibetans living in 11 countries and Taiwan, paid a visit to Sichuan Province on July 18.

The visiting group visited Kangba TV and Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.

In Kangba TV, they visited the omnimedia center, teletorium, etc., got to know the work flow of programs, and spoke highly of Kangba TV’s promotion of Tibetan cultures.

"Via the Internet, I watched lots of Kangba TV’s interviews of folk singers. I also listened to many folk songs, which are familiar to me. I’ve been living abroad for over 20 years, and I always care about the traditional culture of my ethnic group," said Achung Gonpo Dondrup.

The visiting activity was hosted by the United Front Work Department of Sichuan Province.

The visiting group will go to Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture and Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture to know more about the development of cultural inheritance and protection, urban construction, environmental protection, etc. of Sichuan’s Tibetan-inhabited areas in the following days.
