Police dogs patrol Tibet’s downtown streets for the first time

In order to boost combat capability of police dogs in Tibet, specially-trained dogs from Patrol Dog Training Base of the Tibet Autonomous Regional Public Security Department will be deployed for the first time to patrol streets of Lhasa from February 16 to 22, learned from Public Security Department of Tibet Autonomous Region on Feb. 16. China News reported.

Aiming to fully upgrade police dogs’ practical application ability, deter crime and enhance public security in Lhasa, police dogs will patrol Potala Palace Square, Jokhang Temple Square, Barkhor Street, areas around Kundeling, Lhasa Railway Station and downtown streets and areas with police officers.
