Characteristic industries help villages get rich in Lhoka, Tibet

 San’an Qulin Township in Longzi County, Lhoka, Tibet lies 110 kilometers from the county town, standing at an elevation of 3,500 meters. It is an agriculture border township.

The township government manages to develop characteristic industries relying on rich local forests, so as to propel the poor population out of poverty.

According to reports, in 2015 the township government invested money to build a black barley flour processing plant and a wild Tibetan pig-breeding base.

These products have been sold to cities such as Lhasa and Shanghai.
