China Tibet Mountaineering Team reaches the South Pole

On December 25th, 2016, Tsering Tendar and Deqing Ngodrup, members of the China Tibet Mountaineering Team,  along with the hiking team from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) , reached the South Pole on foot.

They achieved the "7+2" record for the first time (climbing the tallest peaks on all seven continents and getting to the North and South Pole).

China Tibet Mountaineering Team also realized the goal of climbing all 14 peaks over 8000 meters in the world and the incredible endeavor of "7+2."
