The federation conducted surveys of the employment market for local young women and the employers' demand and requirements for female workers, and drew up plans for the training accordingly.

The federation raised 750,000 yuan in the first half of this year to hold 18 training courses on catering, driving, marketing, bamboo article and carpet weaving, etc.

The federations at all levels in Lhoka also held meetings and launched campaigns to encourage and mobilize local women to change their employment concept and become actively involved in training. They also held job fairs and increased the relations with employment agencies to facilitate the trainees' employment.

At present, 96 percent of women who have received training in catering and hotel room services have found jobs with their monthly wages ranging from 730 to 1,500 yuan RMB.
