Tibetan students' life quality improved
Source from the Education Department of Tibet shows that Tibetan students'life quality has been improved greatly after the "Three Guarantee" policy (free food, free accommodation and free tuition) has been carried out since 1985 in Tibet.
Statistics show that Tibet has allocated 62 million yuan on the nutrition improvement project for students at the stage of compulsory education in rural areas in the spring of 2014, which benefitted more than 200,000 students, with the coverage rate hitting 100percent.
The food subsidy standard for each student is three yuan per day, and each student can get an average of 600 yuan food subsidy per year, assuming that students stay at school for 200 days a year.
