Damxung County is located in the middle of Tibet Autonomous Region with 10.5 million mu grassland at an altitude of more than 4,000 meters.

Over 400 Tibetan students study in the primary school of Namtso Township in Damxung County, and they are all resident students from herdsman's families.

In the boarding school, teachers help take care of these Tibetan students with their daily life.

Different from other students in Tibet, these Tibetan students from pasturing area study in school for 10 days and then have 10 days off because of their scattered living places on the vast grassland and long distance away from home.
