Medog County was the last county in China to gain road access to the outside world.

A highway linking Bome County, and Medog in Nyingchi Prefecture in southeastern Tibet opened in October, putting an end to the isolation of a region once dubbed the "secret lotus."

The county strives to enhance the education development and builds a new playground in the local primary school. Therefore, students have the chance to realize their "football dream".
