Goods donated to students to get through winter in Tibet
Volunteers of China Care Tibet Association visited Jiaqiong Primary School of Bange County in Nagqu Prefecture of Tibet on Nov. 9, 2013, donating a five- kilowatt photovoltaic power station and other goods to the students there.
With the altitude of 5,000 meters, the Jiaqiong Primary School is located in the remote area of Nagqu Prefecture. The electricity for the 150 students is only produced by a diesel generator. The shortage of electricity is a big concern for the Jiaqiong Primary School.
Besides donating a photovoltaic power station, volunteers also brought school bags, stationery, books, quilts, clothes etc. for the students to get through the winter.
