Tibet Inspection and Quarantine Bureau vigilant toward Zika
The World Health Organization (WHO) issued a warning that the Zika Virus has already spread to all of the Americas. Brazil, Colombia, El Salvador, and other countries are experiencing more outbreaks of Zika. China also has the potential for the disease to spread.
According to the Tibet Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, they have increased their vigilance toward Zika and remain highly guarded about any outbreaks.
Personnel at the Tibet Inspection and Quarantine Bureau said that, the work that follows will include: disease monitoring and analysis, strict management of any cases, increased inspection of potential patients, and better control of mosquitoes. There will also be expanded monitoring and inspection of mosquito hosts at all borders and entry points as well as all transportation vehicles, goods, luggage, and mail.
More health promotion and consultation will be conducted for people leaving and returning China.
