The Tibet People’s Publishing House donated 100 kinds of books suitable for students to the Lhasa Chengguan Niangre Primary School on Nov. 23, China Tibet News reported.

During this activity the publishing house also offered these kinds of books to nine other schools in Tibet, including books on calligraphy, art, literature, education, science and other categories. This was the second time this publishing house organized such activity.

"Reading is the best way to communicate with refined minds," said Gang Zu, deputy editor at Tibet People’s Publishing House. "We should help children develop a habit of reading and allow everybody to learn how to study and think through reading."

"Many of the books with illustrations are easier to read," said Lobzang Wangdu, Party Secretary of the Chengguan Niangre Primary School. "If the book corner of our classes can own more books of such kinds, the children will love it."

"I usually don’t read extracurricular books because there are too many characters," sixth-grader Ram said. "But these books with pictures are more relaxing to read and I will definitely recommend them to my peers."
