"Hello, this is Tibet Airline. Now a Tibetan girl is seriously ill. She needs to take your flight tomorrow on stretcher for emergency treatment. Are you willing to put off your flight for her? We will change your ticket…" "Yes, of course." "Sure." "I'm not in hurry. Let her go first."…

This conversation took place on August 28, 2012, when Tibet Airline was trying to find several volunteers who would like to give up their seats to the sick girl.

Pasang Drolkar, the 25-year-old girl, was attacked by acute pancreatitis in Lhasa and needed to receive emergency treatments in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province.

However, the peak season of tourism made flight tickets from Lhasa to Chengdu hard to get, which brought huge trouble to Pasang. After failing to buy tickets from several flight agencies, her family turned to Tibet Airline for help.

Tibet Airline decided to help her after learning her situation, but her taking flight on stretcher would occupy more seats and impact other passengers who had bought the tickets. Then conversations mentioned above happened.

Passengers' enthusiasm moved all the staffs, as well as the sick girl and her family. After full communication with passengers, Tibet Airline finally arranged the seats for laying stretcher and accompanied medical staffs.

On August 29, Flight TV9804 took off from Lhasa on time and arrived in Chengdu after two-hour flight. Ground service staffs of Tibet Airline helped to send the patient to hospital as soon as she got off.

As the first local airline company of Tibet, it is not the first time for Tibet Airline serving for emergency patients, and it has become one of the most important lifelines on the world’s roof.
