National investments on Tibet's projects reached 26 billion yuan

With the perdical progress of two of Tibet's key power projects---Pondo hydro junction and Nyingchi Palhe Hydroelectric Power Station achieved, National investments on Tibet’s major projects has amounted to 26 billion yuan this year, Xinhua reported recently.

During the 11the Five-Year Plan period, Tibet has seen 16.33 billion yuan fix assents investment, surpassed the total of 55 years ever since Tibet's peaceful liberation. Especially in 2010, national investment on Tibet has hit its historical record to 25.3 billion yuan, increased by 20.5% than that of last year.

According to Jin Shixun, director of Tibet's Development and Reform Commission, national-invested projects touch upon many areas including transportation, power, water conservation, agriculture and husbandry, education and public health. And most of them are for ordinaryTibetan's live hood.
