Vice Premier Hui Liangyu attended the unveiling ceremony of the Tibet regional branch of China Development Bank Wednesday afternoon.

After the ceremony, chairman of the Tibet Autonomous Region Padma Choling inked a memo on financial cooperation with Chen Yuan, head of the China Development Bank. According to the memo, the bank will provide capital of no less than 10 billion yuan (1.5 billion U.S. dollars) to Tibetan consumers during the 12th Five-Year Plan period from 2011 to 2015.

China Development Bank issued loans totaling 3.67 billion yuan to customers in Tibet from February 2010 to June 2011.
