Tibet's industrial added value maintained double-digit growth in five years

The industrial added value of Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) has maintained double-digit growth during the 11th Five-Year Plan period (2006-2010).

TAR's total investment reached 15.9 billion yuan, according to Lizhen, Chairperson of Industry and Information Department of TAR.

The industrial profit amounted from 447 million yuan in 2005 to 682 million yuan in 2009, up by 52% in four years. The industrial sales above designed size increased from 2.56 billion yuan in 2005 to 5.017 billion yuan in 2009.

In addition, the total energy consumption of GDP decreased by 13.79%, within the span of the state's control to energy consumption.

The industrial added value is expected to reach 20.8 billion yuan in 2015 with the annual increasing rate above 30%.
