The overall fiscal revenue of China's Tibet Autonomous Region is estimated to have reached 67 billion yuan in 2010, according to Ai Juntao, director-general of the regional finance department.

Tibet's financial department recently revealed the regional fiscal status in Lhasa and reported that Tibet was getting better off these years since it ended its financial deficit in 2007.

Tibet's 2010 financial statistics showed that the overall regional fiscal revenue in the past 5 years is estimated to surge to 196 billion yuan including the capital construction and national debt, and the total expenditure reach 187.7 billion yuan. Both figures were higher than that of the 10th Five-Year Plan period, up by 166.8% and 165.2% respectively.

The fiscal report also indicated that Tibet's financel system and supervision system have been established over the past 5 years. And the region's public finance system has transformed its concept from the original "taking food first, and construction second' to 'taking food first, construction second and scientific development third".
