Since June of 2013, the electricity networking project of Yushu and Qinghai with the main network of 330 KV has been operated smoothly, transmitting nearly 57 million KWh of electricity to Yushu City. According to the statistics released by Electric Power Company of Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province, at present the daily maximum electricity load of Yushu has reached to nearly 25,000 KWh, twice than the amount before Yushu earthquake on April 14, 2010.

The power project has changed the history of isolated operation of electric network in Yushu, guaranteeing rapidly growing electricity demand of this reborn city under reconstruction.
