Nachen Bridge, located in Lhasa of Tibet Autonomous Region, will connect the North Circular Road and the 318 National Highway after completion. The bridge has realized its closure of the main part structure and is expected to open to traffic within the year or by the end of 2013, according to the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the Lhasa City.

At the same time, the bordering project of the Nachen Bridge and the 318 National Highway is stepping its construction. The roadbed has been leveled by far and the bitumen sealing for the road will be started soon. It is predicted that the bordering project will be completed in the middle of August, 2013.

In the construction site of Nachen Bridge, workers are beautifying the pavement floor on the bridge and part of the cement guardrail.

The decorative lighting is also installed in the stay cable bridge tower. "After installation of the lighting, the colorful light will brighten the three main towers of the bridge at night, making the bridge like a 'luminous pearl' on the Lhasa River. Corresponding with the Liuwu Bridge, the two bridges will echo each other and decorate the river with very beautiful colors," introduced by the official of the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the Lhasa City.

The landscape engineering near the bridge has also completed with various kinds of plants. Therefore, the construction of the bridge not only improves the transport of Lhasa, but also protects the local environment.

Nachen Bridge under construction is the fourth cement road bridge over the Lhasa River. Once completed, it will be the largest and widest cement road bridge in Lhasa of Tibet.
