Tibetan graduates enjoy aiding policies to obtain employment

Beijing, Shanghai and Hebei Province jointly held a special job fair for Tibetan college graduates in the old campus of Tibet University June, 14, 2014.

Altogether 135 employers from the three areas provide 662 jobs for the Tibetan graduates in consideration of their education background and major.

Sun Zhenjie, a graduate of the Information Engineering Department of Tibet University, is talking with the recruiter of a construction company in Shanghai. He was told that the job will be very hard but Sun thought he has went on a field trip to the construction company and needed to go to the construction site no matter rain or shine, therefore, he was ready for such kind of work.

After talking for while, Sun reached a preliminary intent with the company and will get a reply after the company's overall consideration.

The Fifth Tibet Work Forum held in 2010 was put forward the policy that "the partner provinces, cities and enterprises should receive certain Tibetan college graduates as employees".

In 2012, the employment aiding work in Tibet has been launched in full swing, opening up a new channel for the employment of Tibetan college graduates. During the last two years, areas and enterprises who were assigned the aiding task have provided a total of 17,000 jobs for the Tibetan graduates under the background of big employment pressure in the inland. More than 10 job fairs have been held and 534 Tibetan college students have been arranged jobs in the inland through the employment aiding channel.

Gu Zunshi, deputy director of college graduates employment office of the Beijing Bureau of Human Resource and Social Security, introduced that more than 50 Tibetan college graduates majoring in public management and computer have been recruited in Beijing for the past two years.

Gu said: "Beijing will provide more guidance and specialized technical training for the Tibetan graduates based on their different geographic characteristics and actual situation to help them adapt to the work and life in Beijing as soon as possible."

Liu Li, deputy director general of Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Tibet Autonomous Region, expected that Tibetan college students should cherish the life and walk out bravely, therefore, they can not only learn the advanced knowledge and management experience in the inland and cultivate strong sense of competition and cooperation, but also grow to be the leading cadres at all levels and technical backbones across all industries, providing strong talent support and intellectual support for Tibet's construction and development.
