Started on June 24, 2013, the Images Biodiversity Expedition (IBE) and the Biodiversity flash investigation in the Yellow River source region which is located in the Three River Source Region National Nature Reserves of Qinghai Province have been successfully completed recently.

During the past 20 days, the professional nature photographers from the Images Biodiversity Expedition Institution have been in the wilderness and recording the natural moments with their cameras. 

The scientific investigation was conducted cooperatively by the Shan Shui Conservation Center, scientists from the Peking University and other places, professional nature photographers from the IBE Institution and workers from the Three River Source Region Administration.

The background survey of biological diversity in the Three River Source Region lasts for three years, including the investigations of the Yangtze River source region in 2012, the Yellow River source region in 2013, and the Lantsang River source region in 2014.

The scientific research aims to fill data vacancy of the environmental protection in the Three River Source Region and work out a batch of high quality imaging results with scientific value and communication value.
