As one of the key post-disaster projects in the wake of earthquake in Yushu Prefecture in 2010, the power network connecting Yushu and Qinghai main network has a supply load of 330 kilowatt and is more than 800 kilometers long. Being the longest power project with the highest altitude in the world, it is estimated to be finished and put to operation in June, 2013 in order to solve the power shortage in Yushu Prefecture. So far, the basic circuit-laying of the project has been completed and 67.5% of the planned pylons has already been built up.
