Over 200 disabled Tibetans get jobs successfully

Recently, over 200 disabled Tibetans get jobs in various ways with the help from the Tibetan Autonomous Region Disabled Employment Service Center.

This year, the center focuses on carrying out investigations on the disabled people who are registered unemployed and the disabled people from one same family and disadvantaged families. The center and the labor department then together provide employment policy advisory, vocational guidance and employment information service to the disabled people.

In 2012, there are more than 200 disabled people get employed in the 14 job fairs specialized for them. Until now, the center has provided 362 disabled people with vocational guidance and 287 with career-introductions, managing to let 13 disabled people get public –service jobs through coordination and endeavor.

In order to encourage and help disabled people achieve self-employment, the Tibetan Disabled Employment Service Center is now revising the Implementation Opinions on Guaranteed Small Amount Loans and Financial Discount for Disabled People Self-employment with other departments.

Fan Jiamin, the chairman of Lhasa Heng Xing Industry & Trade Corporation is successfully elected to be the National Star of Self-employment in 2012, which makes him a role model of self-employment for Tibetan disabled people.
