Due to high altitude and strong ultraviolet rays, farmers and herdsmen in Tibet easily get eye diseases, especially the cataract.

In 1993, Tibet Development Fund carried out a charity project to treat cataract patients in distant regions of Tibet for free. Over 30,000 patients have regained vision through the “Bright Project” since then.

In recent years, more and more people have participated in the team to aid Tibet patients suffering from eye diseases, and brought light to more and more patients.
